    Good rainfall in winter and early spring resulted in healthy canopy development, and the warm temperatures that followed brought about early budburst. The Frost that occurred in late September only caused mild damage to Shiraz vines in most regions. The warmer than average summer, including the extreme heat wave that affected most of South Australia in February, stressed the vines and delayed ripening. However the mild temperatures in autumn ensured that concentrated Shiraz flavours were obtained in all regions. Full purple crimson. Bouquet. Fresh berry fruits with black pepper and spice. Palate. Ripe blackberry mid-palate with hints of spice. Rich and full-flavoured with velvet tannin structure and subtle toasty oak notes. A distinctive example of the Australian Shiraz style.
