A wet winter followed by a cool moist spring resulted in vigorous healthy vine canopies which remained stress free during a mild but dry Summer. Moderate, dry weather with cool nights resulted produced healthy grapes with excellent intensity of varietal flavours. The resulting wines show great richness and high quality from a vintage that was unusually moderate and ideally suited to Chardonnay in most of South East Australia. Bouquet. Intense white peach and melon fruit with a background of nutty oak and buttery complexity. Palate. Intense peach melon fruit flavours with complex nutty oak and creamy characters. The texture is soft and silky and balanced by a fresh acid finish.
