To produce the worlds finest vodka Mark decided on certain selection criteria. First, it should come from only one vintage when the finest wheat grains are identified and selected prior to meticulous multiple distillation. When choosing the wheat grains Mark selected the seven best for the production of wheat regions in Russia. Within each of these regions a single field was chosen. The choice of regions will vary from year to year depending on the quality of wheat production. Second, to ensure consistency, guarantee quality, and retain continuity of style there should be only one bottling per vintage. Third, strictly limited quantity should be produced and only in the years when the grain quality justifies the production of the luxury vodka. Thus, only 25,000 bottles of Kauffman Luxury Vintage Russian Vodka with each bottle carrying the limited edition bottle number are produced annually. Finally, Mark worked with the worlds most innovative designer to produce a bottle which would incarnate Russiass future rather than its past.
